The 4th Battalion Legacy
Activated on 14 January 1963 at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, the 4th Missile Battalion, 41st Artillery Regiment deployed to West Germany in 1964 under the 56th Artillery Group. Garrisoned at Hardt and Bismark Kasernes in Schwäbisch Gmünd, the battalion evolved from four Pershing 1 missiles to 36 Pershing 1a missiles by 1969—a testament to precision, readiness, and unwavering commitment.
